Beautiful things make me happy. Creating makes my soul sing. I spent 20 years as a fashion designer and the fulfilment from creating wearable ‘art’ was the best form of payment… at least in my 20s, lol.
After a break from design, and a voyage into the world of wellness & optimising brain function… I moved into health food / recipe development… for our own organic cafes as well as others. My mission was to create wholesome, allergy-friendly foods which were delicious enough to ‘convert’ people from unhealthy eating, and beautiful enough to be tempting – even to the most mainstream diners.
After 12 years, my collection of recipes is extensive… and I’m going to publish them all, over time…
But now that my Gryff is 16, it’s time to return to the aesthetic world I love so much. The world of textiles and colour and creation, with a side order of organic, ethical, sustainable social enterprise… A brand I can use to educate others to create at home, for themselves. To upcycle, create anew, or to begin a mindful new hobby with kids, big and small.
I’m excited to introduce Fabric of Humanity…. my new passion project.
Lucky lucky me x
