Life was fairly mundane for me – 20 years in the fashion industry – 2 beautiful daughters, 2 beautiful poodles, a functional marriage and life was fairly cruisy…
and then:
Gryffin arrived. With an extra chromosome, and a zest for life like I’d never known before…
Unleash… randomity with a bullet and richochet for years. Sacrifices were made – by all of us, and the rate of change was blinding.
I closed the brand I adored, therapy took over our world, and with good reason. Gryff blossomed… and we paved & guided the way for others to follow. Years were gobbled up by book writing, a childrens’ charity, organic food cafes were started, grown, and eventually ended.
Thank you Covid…
16 years later, and here we are – me & Gryff back in the Melbourne burbs after a year by the sea… learning to fish and kayak whilst reflecting on the past & pondering the future. I’ve birthed a new enterprise, back in the world of textiles and create… back where I feel I belong.
No regrets! Life is finally simple. But it’s been a wild & bumpy ride.
Sometimes growth arrives disguised as loss…. but in the end it’s up to us to make the absolute best of what we have!
And learning this – for me has been life’s greatest gift.
